Leonora currently heads up the section tasked with SME Development and Promotion in the City of Windhoek, Namibia. Her 10 years’ experience as a chief development planner in government allows her to advise on projects, sourcing of funds and planning in general. For the past six years, her focus has been on entrepreneurial development through the provision of business support services. She is a strong advocate for women’s empowerment and women’s rights. She believes in the importance of women accessing opportunities that allow them to realize their dreams and aspirations in setting up and managing their own businesses. Leonora has been instrumental in training and mentoring Windhoek-based women entrepreneurs.

She is a graduate from the Management Development Programme (University of Stellenbosch) and has a Bachelor’s  Degree Business Management (University of Namibia); and various certificates (Regional and Local Development Planning (UNCRD); Coastal Resources Management; (Peninsula Technikon); Project Management (University of Namibia)).
