BahatiBahati Mkopi has worked for the Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO) since 2008 as a Business Development Officer in the Shinyanga region in Tanzania. She is responsible for assisting and supporting Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) in the establishment of new industries and the development of existing ones.


She supports and assists SMEs through facilitating training, coaching, providing business advices, linkages to other service providers and assistance to access markets. She networks with various stakeholders and business development providers to collaborate in supporting SME development.


For more than six years she has been a facilitator for OXFAM BG-Shinyanga, Care Tanzania Kahama and World vision Shinyanga branch in supporting their society development programmes.


Previously she had four years’ experience in survey work as a field supervisor with the Ifakara Health Institution.


She pursued a Diploma in Education and was a secondary teacher in Mathematics and Geography from 1999 to 2004. She attained an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Marketing at Mzumbe University.


Bahati is a Managing Director of the Three Sisters’ Shopping Center, a registered company under the partnership of her three daughters. The company produces and supplies food snacks in Shinyanga super markets.
